Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Visit Greens Pool and Emu Point for some beach relaxation. Do some cultural sightseeing at National Anzac Centre and Albany's Historic Whaling Station. Explore Albany's surroundings by going to Denmark (Anvil Beach & Harewood Forest) and Walpole (Mandalay Beach & Tree Top Walk). Next up on the itinerary: enjoy the sand and surf at Little Beach, explore the activities along Cable Beach, stroll through Middleton Beach, and don't miss a visit to Albany Wind Farm.
