A relaxed town of tree-shaded streets and scenic coastal stretches, Broome gained renown as a center of the pearling industry in the late 19th century.
We've included these beaches for you: Broome Town Beach and Cable Beach. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Roebuck Bay and Broome Bird Observatory. There's still lots to do: get outside with Staircase To The Moon, stroll the grounds of Japanese Cemetery, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cathedral.
