George Town is a large town in north-east Tasmania, on the eastern bank of the mouth of the Tamar River. Kick off your visit on the 9th (Sat): take an in-depth tour of Beaconsfield Mine & Heritage Centre, meet the residents at Seahorse World, identify plant and animal life at Platypus House, then get great views at Mt George Lookout, then pause for some photo ops at Paterson Monument, and finally examine the collection at Bass & Flinders Centre.
